While waiting for Sally to arrive back from Sydney I snapped some aircraft. Some avid (Obviously) Plane spotters assured me that this was the first touchdown in Brisbane for this Plane. A Virgin virgin flight so to speak!

A lot of you have enjoyed the images I captured when visiting our friend undergoing rehabilitation at Eventide. Well her rehabilitation is complete and she has moved to a nursing home and in case you thought no more photos, forget it. At the back of the facility I discovered an old friend. I first took shots of this tree back in 2008 and was thrilled to find that it was still occupied by two fledglings who it appears will soon be driven out by a gang of marauding crows that harried them for the entire period I was shooting.
With regard to the photos, although I had my 55 300mm lens on I was about 300 metres from the nest so some cropping has occurred, also the sky was cloudless so in the last four I have added cloud using onOne Software’s Perfect Effects (Three More tomorrow) I love the drama of the shots and thought the extra processing added to that drama.

I thought that I had Finished posting images from the Emporium of Wonderful Things, but you know what thought thought! I went into the store to tell the owner that I had finished posting and to find out if she liked the Photos of Raxa and the Rocking Kangaroo I had printed for her. Agter a bit of a chin wag a customer came in so I prepared to take my leave when she presented me with this trinket! It is a Slouch Hat (Iconic Aussie Military Headwear) she told me she had spotted the ANZAC Day Badge I wore on my jacket (Image 4) and it had been stamped out of a 1956 Australian Penny (No longer Legal Tender)(We have been Decimated and work on Dollars and Cents now) But it is a momentous Moment for yours truly I AM NOW A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER! My first Payment! Yippee

I think I discovered how Raxa and the Tinman got here amd the weapons they use to defend the Treasures. Hope you have enjoyed the tour of the Emporium of Wonderful Things.
